Wellington's Ben Sears and Canterbury's Cole McConchie will join the Black Caps cricket set up as part of a new-look squad named for tours ahead of the T20 World Cup in October and November

The pair are potential debutants for next month's five T20s against Bangladesh, and three one-dayers against Pakistan.

Firebirds coach Glenn Pocknall will mentor the Tom Latham-captained team.

Pocknall will also assist Shane Jurgensen in a separate, more experienced squad named for T20s against Pakistan.

Colin de Grandhomme, Hamish Bennett and Finn Allen have missed out on the World Cup squad, with Todd Astle and Mark Chapman earning spots for the tournament in the UAE and Oman.
