Another major power bust for the North Island could be on the way tonight

Another major power bust for the North Island could be on the way tonight

Transpower issued a grid emergency notice just before 4.30pm - warning there's a risk there will be insufficient energy to meet demand in the North Island.

Last Monday night, nearly 18-thousand households had their supply cut when Transpower urged lines companies to ease demand on the system as quickly as possible.
