A new study has shown how effective vaccines will be for New Zealand's response against Covid-19

A new study has shown how effective vaccines will be for New Zealand's response against Covid-19

The research modelled how the country would be affected by open borders for two years without controls.

These include no lockdowns or vaccination programmes.

ESR Chief Scientist Brett Cowan says it shows the importance of vaccination.

He says vaccines are critical to keeping the number of hospitalisations and deaths low.
