Wellington police say they're disappointed to continue to see people flouting the rules on the roads during lockdown.
As well as the five caught drunk behind the wheel, 87 speeding tickets were handed out on Monday, with some drivers caught travelling more than 130 kilometres per hour.
Wellington District Road Policing Manager, Inspector Wade Jennings, says most speedsters are being caught on the state highways.
