A claim the government's latest transport budget needs to be more generous

24 billion dollars will be distributed over the next three years to various transport projects up and down the country.
Auckland will get more than 7 billion dollars for several projects.
There are concerns the South Island's Waitaki district hasn't been given enough.
The area has no public busses and very few cycleways.
Mayor Gary Kircher says the latest announcement is underwhelming.
He says they haven't been given that much more than they were going to get anyway.
