Martin Guptill suspects pace could match spin in importance for the upcoming limited overs cricket series against Pakistan

The Black Caps opener joins the side for the five T20s after the three ODIs on the tour which starts Friday in Rawalpindi.

Guptill's intelligence, having played for Karachi in the Pakistan Super League across the UAE in June, suggests change could be afoot.

New Zealand last toured Pakistan in 2003.
