The city council's notified the Environment Minister supply won't comply with requirements for the National Policy Statement for Urban Development.

New forecasts show that demand for standalone and attached dwellings in the city, could exceed supply by 11-hundred in the next three years.

She says because many issues are directly controlled by government, it's important they work together ensure the right type, and price of homes are being delivered.
