Confirmation the covid-positive prisoner visited a number of locations before reaching his bail address

Confirmation the covid-positive prisoner visited a number of locations before reaching his bail address

Three household members in the small town of Whakatiwai in Waikato have also tested positive.

Health officials say it's very likely the prisoner got the infection while in Auckland, being transported to the place of residence.

The man was released from Mt Eden Corrections Facility on September 8 at around 10am, made four stops along the way and arrived at the house a couple hours later.

Two stops were private addresses in Auckland, one was a supermarket at Pokeno and another stop on the road near his end address.
