Officials are checking what rules were broken after an Auckland prisoner caught Covid -- en route to a north Waikato bail address

The Black Power member infected family contacts in Whakatiwai, throwing the area south of Miranda and above Maramarua into a bespoke lockdown .

The Prime Minister says they're investigating all his movements - after he immediately breached bail by visiting four Auckland sites - and getting infected.

Waikato University Law Professor Claire Breen says it's important to know everything that happened

She says questions around what rules were broken remain unanswered.

Northern Hauraki's under a Section 70 notice until midnight Friday, and anyone who's been there since September 8 must stay home and watch for symptoms.
