New Zealanders can now get most vaccines at mor or less the same time as a Covid-19 vaccine

New Zealanders can now get most vaccines at mor or less the same time as a Covid-19 vaccine

It means routine MMR, HPV and flu jabs can now be given around the Covid jab without concern for spacing.

The only exception is the shingles vaccine, with a recommended seven-day gap.

Director of Public Health Dr Caroline McElnay says the pandemic disrupted routine vaccinations - but this change will help them get back on track alongside ramping up Covid vaccine efforts.

She says at this stage Covid vaxx centres will still only offer the covid jab.
