The two people, who are unconnected, both went to the hospital's emergency department on Wednesday night seeking treatment for unrelated issues.
One patient has remained in hospital isolation while the second chose to self-isolate after learning of their positive result.
They're now being managed by Auckland Regional Public Health Service.
Sixty-six patients have been identified as close contacts across both exposure events - of them, 34 remain in hospital and the rest are being followed up by public health officials.
