The Wellington women's rugby team hopes to have exited Waikato Covid-free

The Wellington women's rugby team hopes to have exited Waikato Covid-free

The Pride lost the Farah Palmer Cup preliminary final on Saturday in Hamilton, a day before two Covid cases were revealed in the region.

A Wellington Rugby spokesperson says most of the team flew out on Saturday night after the game, but some stayed until Sunday morning due to flight availability.

Neither the team nor support staff visited any of the places of interest, and they're acting on advice to 'be vigilant'.

At this stage, the squad will not face mandatory testing.
