An out of control burn-off in inland North Canterbury is now under control

An out of control burn-off in inland North Canterbury is now under control

Helicopters using monsoon buckets were called to a property, 10 minutes from the Hanmer Springs turnoff yesterday.

Strong winds had spread the blaze.

Rain has helped dampen down the area, and the property owner has stood down the helicopters this morning.
