People in Napier are arriving in droves to get their Covid-19 vaccination

People in Napier are arriving in droves to get their Covid-19 vaccination

Te Taiwhenua o Te Whanganui-a-Orotu, chief executive, Tania Eden is thrilled with the turnout and says they have been very busy.

They've been averaging about a hundred an hour since starting at 9am, and plan to go until 7pm.

Eden says they've seen lots of people from the homeless and other vulnerable communities.

Lovey Gillies from Napier walked down to the clinic, got her second jab for the safety of her mokopuna, and says it was 'easy as'.

Napier man Michael Roberts also came for his second jab, because he just wanted to be safe and get it done.

He's wearing a pink mask his daughter gave him, and has added the ACDC logo from his favourite band to make it more interesting.
