There's concern about the impacts of growing inflation on cash strapped Kiwis

The consumer price index shocked economists yesterday - surging 2.2 percent in the September 2021 quarter.

It was the largest quarter movement since June 1987.

Infometrics economist Brad Olsen says inflation is hitting those on the lowest incomes the hardest.

He says the price increases coming forward on fuel and food will affect low income houses worst.
