    A man arrested after reports of indecent assaults at New Brighton beach is set to make an appearance in court


    Police were notified yesterday afternoon that a man was behaving inappropriately towards females at the beach.

    A 46-year-old man is in custody and will appear in the Christchurch District Court today.

    He's facing three charges of indecent assault and one charge of resisting police.
