Concerns Auckland students hard-hit by lockdown are disengaging with their education

The Government is putting forward a nearly 15-million dollars investment to support learners for the rest of the year -- and into 2022.
The money will be dished out to support providers, struggling schools, mentors, counsellors and distance learning provider Te Kura.
Officials are flagging problems with some students no longer tuning in to remote learning every day - or stepping away from it entirely.
Associate Minister Jan Tinetti says principals have indicated it's an issue across the board.
She says it can range from young as kids just starting schooling to senior secondary students.
