Tararua District's Mayor is calling for care and caution after the discovery of two local Covid cases
15 November 2021
The pair tested positive overnight Saturday after promptly seeking a test when they became unwell on Friday.
The two cases are from the same home but how they caught the virus - and if it's spread further - is a mystery.
Several extra testing sites sprung up yesterday in response and anyone with symptoms is urged to get tested.
Mayor Tracey Collis says the community needs to behave as if every person around them could have Covid.
She says people need to keep wearing their face masks, recording where they're going - but don't panic buy.
Yesterday's 207 cases also appeared in Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Rotorua
