Anxiety for Auckland businesses unsure of their financial future

Anxiety for Auckland businesses unsure of their financial future

Heart of the City is urging the Government to give businesses certainty they will be supported on their road to recovery.

Chief Executive Viv Beck says there needs to be a firm date for the region's reopening, no later than December 1.

She says this would allow businesses to plan their future and give them confidence to take bookings for next month.

Beck says businesses who have been impacted since the start of the pandemic are hurting badly.

She says it's enormously helpful to have the resurgence payment weekly, but businesses have no idea how long it will last.
