New Zealanders are once again being urged to not to fall prey to scammers

Customs is warning of a text message scam asking people to pay border charges for parcels, with a link included.

Chief Security Officer Jamie Bamford, says Customs will never text customers asking them to pay duty.

Anyone receiving a text like this, should report and delete it.

Online scams and fraud cost New Zealanders millions every year - with the majority connected to fake sites, investment and relationship fraud.
