Dunedin City Council's foodbank challenge has delivered to those in need

Council staff and organisations across the city have donated more than 2500 unperishable food items, as well as cash and vouchers - to the city's four food banks.

City Council Chief Executive Sandy Graham says the team has gone the extra mile to help those in need as Christmas approaches.

Large employers including Dunedin Airport, Aurora Energy and City Forests are also holding company-wide collections.
