Golfer Nelly Korda has emerged as the best of a touted playing group on the opening day of the LPGA Tour Championship in Florida

The world number one has carded a six-under par 66 with world number two Jin Young Ko and world number five Lydia Ko carding three-under par 69s.

Ko said before the tournament she might feel like an added extra against the two best players in the world - Korda says that's not how it panned out.

Jeongeun Lee6 leads the tournament on eight-under par.
