Surf Life Savers were busier than a peak summer day this weekend as they rescued over 50 people

The rescues were in the northern Surf Life Saving region which covers Auckland from Raglan to the Far North.
One person's in a critical condition after being resuscitated at Auckland's Karekare beach yesterday.
On Saturday there were three mass rescues at Raglan and Muriwai.
Northern Region Lifesaving Operations Manager James Lea says with nice weather, the continued lockdown and warm water Aucklanders are flocking to beaches.
He says there were small surf conditions and people tend to push their ability and go out further then get into trouble in flash rips when the tide changes.
