    New Zealand has 215 new Covid-19 community cases today and another death - a person in their 50s


    They were admitted to Auckland City Hospital last Wednesday.

    Of today's confirmed cases, 196 are in Auckland, 11 in Waikato, four in Northland, two in Lakes and one each in Bay of Plenty and MidCentral.

    The MidCentral case in Palmerston North was first announced yesterday.

    There are 88 people in hospital with the virus, with an average age of 45, six in ICU.

    More than 15-thousand vaccines were administered yesterday - including nearly five-thousand first doses.
