    A serious assault in West Auckland earlier this week is believed to be a stoush between rival Head Hunter and Comancheros gang members


    Police descended on Virgo Place in Glen Eden on Tuesday afternoon after reports of major disorder in the street.

    Shortly after, a man presented at Waitakere Hospital in a serious condition.

    Sources told our newsroom Comancheros members confronted Head Hunters members with machetes and bats, and an altercation ensued.

    The man injured suffered multiple stab wounds and a broken leg.

    Police say an investigation is ongoing.
