The start of a new and thoroughly productive opening partnership for the Black Caps in Tom Latham and Will Young

The start of a new and thoroughly productive opening partnership for the Black Caps in Tom Latham and Will Young

The two provided a highlight for New Zealand following two days of the first test against India, when they helped their side to 129 without loss at stumps.

The partnership grew to 151 runs before Young was dismissed.

Latham was pleased with Young's performance, and expects the 29-year-old to be raring to go for the second test.
