Kiwis shopping for house and contents insurance are being warned to read the fine-print

Consumer NZ has found the cost of house and contents rose 5.6 percent on average in the year to September.
Wellington's median prices increased 16 percent for a standard house and 18 percent for large dwellings.
Christchurch saw a spike of 8.5 percent and 17 percent respectively.
Consumer's Gemma Rasmussen says regions with a high likelihood for natural disasters are now being charged more.
