The Diamonds raced out to a seven-point lead after the first quarter and continued to build on it, highlighted by an 18-point advantage heading into the final period.
Silver Ferns coach Dame Noeline Taurua says they were schooled.
Earlier England got the tournament off to a flying start, with a 71-47 hammering of South Africa.
