A major report has revealed breast cancer is significantly more deadly for Maori and Pasifika women

A major report has revealed breast cancer is significantly more deadly for Maori and Pasifika women

It's the most comprehensive review ever done on breast cancer in New Zealand - covering 30-thousand patients and spanning 20 years.

The Breast Cancer Foundation's Ah-Leen Rayner says five-year survival rates have improved.

But she says the 10-year survival rate is much lower, and younger women, Maori and Pasifika women are worst off.

Rayner says the numbers are incredibly disappointing.
