Two of the country's top sprinters are poised to reunite across the Tasman

Two of the country's top sprinters are poised to reunite across the Tasman

21-year-old Tiaan Whelpton is in action at the Sir Graeme Douglas International in Auckland this afternoon.

But in the coming months he'll relocate to Australia where fellow Kiwi Eddie Osei-Nketia has already set up camp.

Whelpton says the conditions will be ideal for meeting the a-standard Commonwealth Games qualification of 10.07 seconds, or even the World Championships qualifying mark of 10.05.

The men's 100 metres begins in half an hour.
