The Breakers trailed by 10 points at quarter-time before things went from bad to worse, with Melbourne stretching out to a 27 point lead at half time.
Coach Dan Shamir says there's not a lot to say after being trounced by 35 points.
The Breakers have a small break, with their next match against the Illawarra Hawks on March 1st.
