The decision by Peter Burling and Blair Tuke to skip the next Olympic cycle and focus on Team New Zealand's America's Cup defence, has paved the way for Isaac McHardie and William McKenzie, as well as Logan Dunning Beck and Oscar Gunn.
Yachting New Zealand's High Performance manager Ian Stewart says both crews are top 10 in the world.
