One of New Zealand's largest companies has loosened its vaccine mandate

One of New Zealand's largest companies has loosened its vaccine mandate

    Fonterra
    Fonterra
Unvaxed Fonterra employees can keep their jobs if they commit to a daily testing programme.

The dairy giant took into account latest health advice, Omicron's risk, workforce vax levels - and the wide availability of RATs.

Business NZ Chief Executive, Kirk Hope, says the mandates were important for the Delta outbreak, but had to go at some point.

He says that's why it's important Fonterra has taken this leadership position -- and that's really helpful for other businesses to see.
