Change is on the way for Auckland's public golf courses

Public consultation's open on Auckland Council's Golf Investment Plan...that proposes changes to how the city's 13 publicly-owned golf courses are used.

It's suggesting using some land to make room for new play places and running and cycling paths.

Community Investment Senior Policy Manager Carole Canler says they also want to explore smaller courses and driving ranges.

She says they want to increase participation...as there's a few people who are interested, but don't have access to the right facilities.
