Less waiting time for patients, with Dunedin Hospital projecting to get through an extra 40 MRI scans a week

It's planned the hospital will begin operating two Magnetic Resonance Imaging machines in May.
They're expecting to meet the Ministry of Health's target of having 90 per cent of patients scanned within six weeks.
Radiology Services Manager Stephen Jenkins says it also provides a back-up, if on a rare occasion one scanner was to fail.
