Owners of one of New Zealand's tallest apartment blocks are suing for building defects ... in a landmark 140 million dollar case

The owners are suing 13 groups, including Auckland Council and Clark Brown Architects.

The trial is expected to take 20 weeks, beginning in May, after three previous hearing fixtures were abandoned.

The plaintiffs case contains the contention that defective construction arose from negligence by the defendants.
