Greater Wellington Regional Council's ordered a report on the condition of all its water assets

This is after Wellington Water didn't come clean about the state of its failing fluoride facilities for four years.

Council chairman Daran Ponter says the relationship between the two organisations has been tested.

He says it raises questions about other rocks the council needs to look under to ensure performance is up to scratch.
