Dunedin City Council is running a campaign, urging those involved in winter sports to be more thoughtful when it comes to parking

Dunedin City Council is running a campaign, urging those involved in winter sports to be more thoughtful when it comes to parking

A range of issues is being reported at parks -- including vehicles double-parking to parking on grass verges, yellow lines, traffic islands, and across driveways.

The council is working on providing more parking -- including five-minute drop-off and pick-up areas.

It's also installing concrete barriers around sports grounds to stop vehicles from parking on the grass.
