Christchurch's smelliest suburb's air quality has been tested

Christchurch's smelliest suburb's air quality has been tested

Council last week confirmed it was sampling air at the Bromley wastewater plant and surrounding areas.

Mayor Lianne Dalziel has confirmed to Newstalk ZB's Canterbury Morning's John MacDonald the results are in.

She says the two main gases are hydrogen sulfide and mercaptan.

Dalziel says testing already shows the smell doesn't breach the WorkSafe eight hour exposure standard.
