2 May 2022
The plan Released by the Fairer Future group two weeks before this month's Budget, aims to set an agenda to support Kiwis facing spiralling living costs.
Key priorities include raising the minimum wage, increasing benefits and wiping debt to the Ministry of Social Development.
Assistant Maori Commissioner for Children, Glenis Philip-Barbara, says the burden of poverty is felt most by Maori and Pasifika ... and disabled mokopuna and their whanau.
She says this action plan is a step towards the bright future her ancestors wanted when signing Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
