Legal action could be pursued over large organisations bypassing employment laws

Legal action could be pursued over large organisations bypassing employment laws

Celebration Centre Church is being accused of exploiting member.

It follows a landmark employment court ruling Gloriavale members had been made to work from the age of six.

Barrister Tim Mackenzie says others might look to claim they're working as employees, entitled to minimum entitlements.

He says there might be multiple claimants with bigger complaints, meaning there could be more instances of the Gloriavale decision.
