The kiwi golfer bogeyed three of her last four holes to card a one-over 72 to finish at five-under for the tournament alone in fifth.
She finished eight shots off the winner, Australian Minjee Lee who now joins Ko with two major wins.
Steven Alker was unable to convert a 36-hole lead into victory on the Champions Tour, with the kiwi veteran finishing tied for third at the latest event in Iowa.
