Consumer NZ's final sunscreen test results are in, and three out of four products are slipping up

Consumer NZ's final sunscreen test results are in, and three out of four products are slipping up

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration, Neutrogena Beach Defence and Oasis Sun Healthy Family sunscreen all didn't deliver the SPF protection they promised on the label.

Consumer NZ's Belinda Allan says all three companies claim to have the test results to substantiate their claims, but refuse to release their findings.

Ms Allan says the products may be relying on results from many years ago, because there's no requirement for regular testing - something Consumer NZ wants changed.
