Further evidence New Zealanders are payinf more to fill up their trolleys

Stats NZ says food prices went up 6.8 percent in the year to May 2022.
All five measured categories have increased, with the biggest growth in fruit and vegetables - jumping 10 percent.
Grocery food and meat, poultry and fish prices are all at least seven percent higher.
Restaurant and ready-to-go meals meals cost six percent more, and non -alcoholic beverages will set people back 2.7 percent more.
