It welcomes potential employment law changes to clarify the difference between contractors and employees
Auckland Scaffolder Jahden Nelson was recently electrocuted on a building site, but as an independent contractor, didn't have the same rights as an employee.
CTU Secretary Melissa Ansell-Bridges says contractors can be very vulnerable.
She says their ability to earn a living is in the hands of the person engaging them.
