    Finance Minister Grant Robertson says the fall in GDP reflects the volatile global situation


    The GDP figures for the first quarter of the year show a 0.2 percent fall, worse than the flat growth rate predicted by many economists.

    Robertson says despite this we are still on track for strong annual growth.

    He says we have a strong fiscal position with low unemployment and low net debt.
