A plus for baby boomers, C minus for Gen Z

A plus for baby boomers, C minus for Gen Z

New research from Rabobank/Kiwi Harvest shows the average Kiwi household wastes around 15-hundred dollars worth of food each year.

Kiwis who plan meals and freeze leftovers waste much less food than those who don't.

Rabobank CEO Todd Charteris reckoms baby boomers are the most frugal with food -- and Gen Z are the most wasteful.

He says the survey also finds Gen Z care most about climate change and the cost of living, which means their intentions and behaviours aren't lining up.
