The Wellington Phoenix women's inaugural season in the A-League has helped propel their athletes into the Football Ferns

The Wellington Phoenix women's inaugural season in the A-League has helped propel their athletes into the Football Ferns

Three of the four uncapped players in the squad to face Norway in Oslo overnight come from the Phoenix.

Centre backs Kate Taylor and Mackenzie Barry are rewarded for some fine form in Australia, while goalkeeper Lily Alfeld has been called up before - but is yet to make her international bow.

Ferns coach Jitka Klimková just wants the youngsters to keep growing.

    Kickoff's at 3am.
