Auckland renters are dealing with a slight price increase

Barfoot and Thompson rental data shows weekly rents went up one percent in the June quarter.
That's an annual increase of 3.27 percent - or 19-dollars-70 a week.
But Director Kiri Barfoot says the market is cooling off and tenants are heading overseas or moving back in with their parents.
She says price can vary widely between location.
Barfoot says the cheapest area to buy in is the central city, while the eastern suburbs are the most expensive.
