    Police are seeking sightings of a white van involved in a hit and run in Christchurch


    Around 8.20 on Friday night a woman in her 50s was hit by a van while crossing Marshlands Road at the Voss Street intersection.

    The driver didn't stop and she was taken to Christchurch Hospital with serious injuries where she remains in a stable condition.

    The van had pipes along its roof and is missing a wing mirror, with one found at the scene.

    Anyone with information should call 105.
